When I was given the honor by my school to judge a prestigious Event!

My mom received a call from my English teacher and she was quite surprised since my brother had moved to another school, my sister was in college and I was working.. My mom and teacher had a typical conversation of "How are you and your family?" and so on .. Then my English teacher asked for me, but I was at work. So my mom was told that my teacher wanted me to judge a prestigious event at my school! My mom was as excited as I was when I heard it, it was such an honor to be called by my teacher and going back to my school after 5 years as the youngest judge!

It was at 8.30 am when I reached my school, entering in and being recognized by my Principal and teachers made me feel wonderful. I went in and there were two teachers and few student volunteers who were in charge to guide me around the campus, but I didn't need any guidance since I knew my campus too well :) I felt like I was back to school again...

I was seated with other judges which comprised of celebrities, media persons, teachers, police officers and social workers.. It was amazing to socialize with all of them, then at 9 am they started the programme by introducing the judges and requesting them to come up to the stage. When my name was called out, I walked up to the stage and my profile was being read out aloud by my teacher and I could see that my teacher was very proud of me which made me also feel very proud.. After that we proceeded to the teachers room where we had breakfast and all my teachers were so happy to see me and every teacher was introducing me to their friends saying that "She was my student", it made me feel very nice :) I still remember during school days we would never be allowed to enter the teacher's room but that day I was having breakfast with my lovely teachers in that special room!

After breakfast I was guided by the two teachers and few student volunteers to the room where the competition was taking place. I could see so my students with their props and speech sheets in their hands, they were cute and smiled at me signalling that they were ready. As each student spoke, I was reminded of the time when I was also there as a student who was excited and nervous to deliver the speech in front of so many students from other schools.

Being the judge was another amazing experience I gained, the final decision was made, the first 3 places were awarded with trophies and other students were given certificates! I was as excited as the students that day, I wish I could be a student again :)
